Mountain Drive

Mountain Drive is Voltic's first overdrive, built to add character and grit to loud, cheap solid-state and tube amps that never get turned up far enough to sing. Its range runs from clean boost through an AC30-style edge of breakup up to a piercing, Tonebender-like grind. The standout is a two-stage tone control: for the first two-thirds of its travel it acts as a standard low-pass filter, and in the last third it switches in a bright cap that adds a quasi gain stage while cutting bass, turning it into a treble-booster voice. It runs on a standard 9V center-negative supply, hand-built in Wilmington, Delaware.
