Silicon Harmonic Percolator
Distortion
Fuzz
Harmonic Percolator variant using 40-year-old East German silicon transistors and diode array.
The Silicon Harmonic Percolator is Fredric Effects' silicon-transistor take on the 1970s Interfax Harmonic Percolator. It swaps the usual germanium parts for silicon transistors made 40 years ago in the former East Germany and clips the signal through an unusual East German diode array, giving a brighter, more aggressive version of the Percolator's harmonically rich distortion. Like the original it reacts strongly to picking and guitar volume. Handmade in the UK by Fredric Effects.
