The Scrambled Brainz is Fredric Effects' clone of the Ampeg Scrambler, a harsh upper-octave fuzz with ring-mod flavours that first appeared in the late 1960s.

A Texture control sets how much octave-up fuzz is layered in, a Blend mixes the effect back against the clean guitar for playable, articulate results, and a Volume control sets output. It ranges from subtle octave shimmer to splattery, gated octave chaos, tracking best on the neck pickup and higher notes. True bypass, handmade in the UK by Fredric Effects.
