Square Wave Fuzz

The Square Wave Fuzz clones the classic Univox/Shin-Ei Square Wave Fuzz, a full-on glitchy and gated effect from the golden age of Japanese fuzz.

It nails 1960s-style garage fuzz, Jesus and Mary Chain feedback workouts and pure noise or static experiments, with the ragged, sputtering decay that defines the circuit. A clipping switch selects germanium or silicon clipping for different flavours of breakup, from softer to harsher and more synthetic. Handmade in the UK by Fredric Effects.
