Unchained

Unchained is a JFET-based preamp and drive that emulates the preamp and power stages of a Marshall Super Lead, the plexi behind classic British rock and hard-rock rhythm tone. A gain control sets the amount of crunch and an active three-band EQ shapes the response with real cut and boost on each band, enough to go from cleaned-up rhythm to saturated lead. Running it on 9 to 18 volts adds headroom and tightens the feel toward a bigger amp. It works as a standalone preamp into a clean channel or as a plexi-flavored drive stacked with other pedals, leaning on that midrange-forward Marshall character.
