The Lost Fingers of the Hand of Doom

The Lost Fingers of the Hand of Doom is a Dallas Rangemaster-style treble booster built around an NPN germanium transistor, the circuit Tony Iommi and Brian May used to push their amps into sustaining lead tone. A single Range knob adjusts how much low end passes through, sweeping from the original Rangemaster's thin, treble-focused voice to a fuller, full-range boost that thickens the whole signal. Used in front of a cranked or already-dirty amp it tightens and brightens the response and adds sustain rather than making its own distortion. It runs on a standard 9V Boss-style supply, so unlike many vintage-correct germanium boosters it doesn't need a special isolated output.
