The Last of Fuzz
Five-knob germanium fuzz in the Fuzz Factory tradition, with hand-selected transistors.
The Last of Fuzz is a germanium fuzz inspired by the Zvex Fuzz Factory, built with individually selected germanium transistors and five controls for deep, sometimes unstable tone-shaping. The extra knobs open up the gated, glitching, self-oscillating and velcro-like textures the Fuzz Factory is known for, alongside more usable thick fuzz settings. Germanium transistors give it the temperature-sensitive, touch-responsive character that rewards playing with pickup selection and guitar volume. It runs on a standard 9V supply. It rewards anyone chasing the squealing, sputtering extremes as much as a straightforward fuzz sound.
