Red Giant

Red Giant is based on the Revv G3, the purple-channel high-gain sound popular for modern metal, rebuilt with multiple clipping stages and an active EQ. Bass, Mid and Treble controls give a wide tone-shaping range, and a Mass switch steps through three gain channels or voicings, from tighter crunch to saturated lead. Running it on 9 to 18 volts firms up the low end and adds headroom for palm-muted, down-tuned riffing. It can act as a preamp into a clean amp or a stacked distortion in front of an already-driven channel. The active tone stack cuts and boosts each band, reshaping the sound rather than just trimming it.
