Icarus

Icarus is a Klon Centaur-style overdrive shrunk to a mini enclosure, using germanium diodes and a blend of your clean signal against the drive to keep note definition intact. A Gain control with a linear taper sets the amount of grit, while the Treble control is shifted toward the mid-bass region so cutting highs also thickens the body rather than just dulling it. Like the Klon it leans transparent and works as a boost into a driven amp as much as a standalone overdrive. It runs on a standard 9V supply and includes a buffer, so it can anchor the front of a board and preserve high end down the chain.
