VB-2

The VB-2 is a two-stage dirt pedal that moves from clean boost through overdrive to fuzz depending on how its four controls are set. Each of the two gain stages has its own Volume and Bias, and adjusting the bias starves or opens up the transistors for anything from tight boost to sputtery, gated fuzz. It uses hand-matched, ear-tested transistors and works on guitar or other instruments, adding texture and grit as much as gain. It runs on 9 to 18 volts, draws under 3mA, and has no battery option. Handmade in Detroit, Michigan, it's a compact, interactive dirt box that rewards experimenting with the bias controls.
