Nuvibe
79-transistor discrete Uni-Vibe reissue with 10 wave sliders for custom LFO shapes. Includes expression pedal.
Korg's Nuvibe is a faithful reissue of the original Uni-Vibe, supervised by the designer of the original unit. The discrete circuit packs 79 transistors into a console-style enclosure, delivering the phasing-meets-chorus throb that defined Hendrix and Robin Trower's sound.
What sets the Nuvibe apart from other Uni-Vibe recreations is the bank of ten wave sliders on the front panel. These let you sculpt custom LFO waveforms from scratch, moving well beyond the standard sine and triangle options. Intensity and Speed knobs handle the core modulation, and a toggle switches between Vibrato and Chorus modes.
A dedicated expression pedal is included in the box, connecting via TRS jack for real-time speed control. The redesigned buffer circuit brings the vintage topology into the modern era. Runs on six AA batteries or a 9V adapter at 290mA. The console weighs 1.5kg and the expression pedal adds another 1.1kg.
