Three-stage HTS overdrive with switchable input impedance—1MΩ for sparkle, 100kΩ for fatness
Built around Free The Tone's three-stage HTS circuit: a dedicated input section, noiseless electronic switching (no FET elements), and an output driver that holds impedance constant whether the pedal is on or off. The INPUT Z switch is the secret weapon: at 1MΩ it lets the guitar's full high-frequency content through for bright, articulate drive; flip to 100kΩ and it loads the pickups down, rounding off the highs for a thicker, smoother push. This impedance change works even in bypass, making it a tone-shaping tool before you touch the gain.
Gain range runs from barely-there shimmer through full blues-rock crunch, with a GAIN BOOST switch for an extra stage of saturation. MusicRadar gave it 4.5/5, calling out "gorgeous harmonics" and a dynamic response that avoids the mid-heavy compression of typical TS-style circuits. Draws just 9mA. Discontinued.
