Dirt Transmitter
Silicon fuzz with a Bias starve control for dying-battery gated textures. Discontinued.
The Dirt Transmitter is a silicon fuzz driver — EQD chose silicon rather than germanium for a bitier top-end and higher gain ceiling. Four controls: Fuzz sets saturation intensity from light grit to full destruction, Tone rolls off highs from cutting to mellow, Level handles output, and Bias starves the transistors of current to produce dying-battery and Velcro-like gated fuzz at low settings, opening up to thick, stable fuzz with the knob around 2 o'clock. The gate effect is a byproduct of bias starvation, not a frequency-selective gate. All-analog, hand-built, true bypass. Stacks well with other drives and fuzzes. 9V DC, 3mA — one of EQD's lowest-draw pedals. No longer in production.
