Rat Bass

The Rat Bass is Comodoro's take on the ProCo Rat, modified to hold onto low end that a standard Rat thins out, so it works for bass as well as guitar. Distortion and Filter set the gain and the treble roll-off in the usual Rat way, a Volume knob sets output, and a Blend control mixes the clean signal back against the distortion so the low end and note definition stay intact, like running a clean and a dirty amp together. A three-position toggle switches the clipping between LEDs, 1N4148 silicon diodes, and no clipping for a louder, more open drive. It runs on 9V DC center-negative and is hand-assembled in Spain.
