Fourth
Hybrid transistor and op-amp distortion voiced after gritty '70s solid-state amps.
The Fourth is an overdrive and distortion built on a hybrid transistor and op-amp design, blending hard clipping with op-amp saturation to emulate the sound of sought-after 1970s solid-state amplifiers like the Music Man 112 RD, Epiphone Studio 10 and Silvertone 1464. A Shape control sets the overall tone, and three toggles expand its range: a three-way gate, three bass EQ curves, and three high-end EQ curves, letting it move between distinct voicings and clamp down noise on high-gain settings. It has a dynamic, touch-sensitive breakup with a distinctive, slightly ragged solid-state character. Hand-built as a boutique pedal.
