Double Rock
Two Box of Rock circuits in one enclosure, originally built for J Mascis. Each side convertible to a Super Hard On boost.
The Double Rock was originally built to J Mascis's spec — he wanted two Box of Rock pedals in one enclosure with independent footswitches. The public version goes further: each channel has a DIS/BOOST toggle that converts it between Box of Rock-style distortion and Super Hard On-style boost, plus a 1/2/3 sub-frequency switch like the Distortron for adjusting low-end content. Each channel has independent Volume, Tone, and Drive controls with its own footswitch. That lets you run the pedal as two cascaded Distortrons, two stacked Super Hard Ons (like a Super Duper 2-in-1), Box of Rock feeding a boost, or boost feeding Box of Rock. Runs on a 9V battery at about 2mA — extraordinarily long battery life. Standard 9V DC Boss-style jack with center-negative polarity.
