The Faux Tape Echo v2 is Wampler's hybrid tape-emulation delay — a pure analog dry path with digital delay layered on top, voiced to feel like a vintage tape echo wearing out rather than a pristine digital line. Up to 800ms of delay time. Controls include Mix/Repeats, Tone (for shaping repeat character), Rate and Depth for modulation (which Wampler voices to react organically rather than sit in a static chorus layer), and a dedicated tap tempo footswitch. Four tap subdivisions — quarter, eighth, dotted eighth, and triplet — are accessible without menu diving. 9V DC or battery, 40mA current draw. LED flashes three times on low battery. Discontinued.
