The Banshee
Digital octave fuzz with chopped square-wave tones, polyphonic octaves and a Dissonance control.
The Banshee is a digital octave fuzz, developed as a Slaughter to Prevail signature pedal, that produces chopped, corrupted square-wave fuzz alongside haunting polyphonic octaves and aggressive signal-chopping. Speed sets the chop rate, a Square Wave control sets the fuzz level, and Octave and Dissonance shape the pitch content, with a three-mode octave footswitch and a separate Octave Up switch. Its DSP is engineered under license from Demedash Effects, and it leans into harsh, glitchy, trashed textures rather than a smooth vintage fuzz. It runs on a 9V DC center-negative supply drawing 200mA and does not take batteries.
