Drive
1960s Supro amp circuit in a pedal — phase inverter, Class A power amp, and real output transformer inside.
The Supro 1305 Drive is a revolutionary approach to overdrive pedal design — one of the first pedals to faithfully recreate the entire signal path of a vintage amplifier rather than just approximating the preamp section. Designed by engineer Thomas Elliot, it mimics the circuitry of a 1960s Supro amplifier from end to end: the unique phase inverter design, a Class A power amp section, and critically, a real output transformer for authentic magnetic saturation. This comprehensive approach captures the true essence of vintage Supro overdrive, because the actual tone of these legendary amps comes from power-amp-and-transformer interaction — something most pedals fake or ignore. Volume, Gain, and Tone controls plus a toggle for BOLD (high-headroom clarity) or RICH (more compressed, high-gain with additional harmonic saturation) selects between different windings of the custom multi-tapped output transformer. A TRS expression pedal port allows real-time Gain control. Built in Port Jefferson, New York. 9-18V DC, 50mA.
