The Cutback

The Cutback takes the DOD 250 op-amp overdrive and builds it out with more control. Two selectable gain modes set the clipping ratio, from a low, open drive to a harder, more saturated distortion, and an active three-band EQ of Low, Mid and High shapes the response with real cut and boost on each band. That makes it as much a preamp-style tone-shaper as a drive, able to run from edge-of-breakup grit to thick distortion. It's true bypass and runs on 9V center-negative, hand-assembled in Canada.
