The Civil War is Stomp Under Foot's meticulous recreation of the early-1990s Sovtek 'Civil War' Big Muff, the grey-and-blue Russian muff prized for its grinding, mid-rich fuzz and thick, saturated sustain.

Volume, Tone and Sustain cover heavy rhythm fuzz through long, sustaining leads, with the mid-forward voice that helps the Civil War cut where scooped muffs disappear. It suits both guitar and bass. Hand-built in the USA by Matt Pasquerella, a builder known for his careful study of vintage Big Muff circuits.
