The Healer

The Healer is Shotmaker's germanium overdrive, built with military-grade NOS germanium diodes and a vintage-spec op-amp for smooth, harmonically-full clipping. Pre, Master and Sustain controls take it from clean boost through pushed, amp-style crunch to sustained overdrive, and running it at 18V rather than 9V opens up headroom and dynamic response. The all-analog circuit sits in a solid oiled-wood enclosure, and it's true bypass, drawing just 5mA at 9V. Hand-built as a boutique pedal, it leans on the softer, compressed clipping character germanium diodes give rather than a hard silicon edge.
