Orthros Germanium

The Orthros Germanium is a Fuzz Face-style fuzz built to stay faithful to the original circuit, using germanium transistors for a rough, raw distortion with the touch-sensitivity that defines vintage germanium fuzz. It cleans up well as you roll back the guitar volume, and because germanium is sensitive to temperature its behavior shifts a little with the environment, which is part of the character. Unlike many vintage-correct germanium fuzzes it's wired to run from a normal center-negative supply with no polarity difference, so it doesn't need an isolated positive-ground output. Hand-crafted in Japan as an affordable route to authentic germanium Fuzz Face tones.
