Ares

The Ares is Organic Sounds' overdrive built for dynamic, hand-responsive playing, with just Gain and Volume controls tuned for a wide range. At low gain it has an elastic, springy feel that stays clean and open, and as the gain comes up it thickens into a fuzzy, vintage-flavored drive rather than a tight modern distortion. It uses buffered bypass, which the builder voices to keep a natural sound with the pedal off. Offered in a wider-range, natural-EQ Hydra voicing and a higher-gain, brighter Armless voicing, it reacts strongly to pick attack and guitar volume. Hand-crafted in Japan.
