Dark Star V3
All three Dark Star modes in one stereo box, now with presets, MIDI, and a gnarly distortion circuit.
Old Blood Noise Endeavors' Dark Star started as a pad reverb, evolved into a dual-mode V2, and now the V3 combines all three reverb modes into a single stereo unit. It's the definitive version of their flagship lo-fi reverb.
The V3 adds stereo I/O with analog dry-through, three onboard presets (more via MIDI), expression control over every parameter, and a new Crush control that toggles between sample-rate reduction and overdrive. Two independent pitch-shift controls span -2 to +2 octaves each, and a quantized pitch mode keeps things musical when you want it to.
Controls include Filter, Pitch 1, Pitch 2, Crush, Lag, Multiply, Decay, Volume, Mix, and Spread. Trails or true bypass switching keeps your signal clean when disengaged. At 350mA current draw, it needs a beefy power supply, but the sonic range justifies the real estate.
