JF-316 Future Chorus
Analog BBD chorus in the Ironman mini format. Level, Rate, and Depth under a flip-top cover.
The JF-316 Future Chorus is an analog chorus based on a classic BBD (bucket-brigade device) delay chip — the same kind of circuit that drove the 1970s chorus pedals the effect is named after. The BBD delays the signal by a few milliseconds and modulates that delay against the dry signal to produce the characteristic swirl. Three controls: Level, Rate, and Depth. The Ironman mini format adds a flip-top cover that locks in the knob settings so they don't get bumped between songs, and the LED shines through the cover when engaged. Mono operation, true bypass. 9V DC, 22mA. 1MΩ input impedance, 1kΩ output. Compact 73 × 43 × 50mm enclosure at 220g.
