Lion
Op-amp RAT-style distortion with hard-clipping diodes after the feedback loop. Internally 18V for extra headroom.
JET Pedals positioned the Lion as the higher-gain sibling to the Lamb, voiced as an op-amp RAT-style distortion. The circuit uses hard-clipping diodes placed after the feedback loop of the op-amp (RAT topology) rather than between the input and output, which yields a firmer clipping character with more bite than standard OD circuits. Runs internally at 18V via a voltage doubler for improved headroom and dynamic response even as gain increases. Maintains the clarity and mix-friendliness typical of JET's design philosophy while pushing into crunch and lead territory. Cleans up with guitar volume for rhythm, growls for solos. Level, Drive, and Tone shape the saturation. True bypass. Built in Kansas City, voiced for the worship community but equally at home in rock, indie, and Americana settings.
