FU-2 Octave Fuzz

The FU-2 pairs a vintage Japanese Superfuzz circuit, the octave-up fuzz Pete Townshend used, with an active Baxandall EQ borrowed from the Orange OR120 amp. Level sets output, Bass and Treble each cut or boost up to 20dB for a wide tone-shaping range, and an Expander control adjusts the fuzz's gating and note bloom. The Superfuzz gives the ragged, gated octave-up fuzz that sits well under leads and single notes, while the powerful EQ moves it from scooped and buzzy to thick and mid-forward. It runs on 9V center-negative, draws 30mA, and uses relay-based true-bypass switching.
