Overdrive

Two-channel JFET overdrive after the Marshall JTM45, with a plexi drive and a clean boost.

The Super Plexi is a two-channel overdrive from Formula B built around a revisited Marshall JTM45 preamp, using discrete JFETs (Fairchild J201) rather than op-amps to capture that dynamic, plexi-style feel.

Channel A is the plexi overdrive with Level, Tone and Gain; Channel B is a clean boost with its own Volume; and a toggle sets the order of the two channels so the boost can push the drive or lift the output. True bypass on both footswitches, running at around 10mA from 9V DC center-negative. Hand-built in Todi, Italy by Marco Bovelli.
