Spires
Dual fuzz: Green channel is a Rosac Nu-Fuzz clone, Red channel is a silicon Dream Crusher recreation.
The Spires is a two-in-one fuzz that pairs two different EQD circuits in a single enclosure. The Green channel is based on the 1968 Rosac Electronic Nu-Fuzz — a cranked, full-on fuzz with a wide-range Tone control that sweeps from dark counterclockwise to bright and sizzling clockwise. The Red channel is a silicon recreation of EQD's discontinued Dream Crusher — a classic two-transistor fuzz architecture, but rebuilt in silicon to be more stable and less temperature-sensitive than the original. Red has a dynamic Fuzz knob that covers clean-ish all the way to distorted, plus Level. Green has Tone and Level. Two footswitches: one selects channel, one activates. True bypass via relay. 9V DC, 44mA. No longer in production.
