Speaker Cranker

The Speaker Cranker is a discrete all-analog distortion enhancer with a single control: More. It's not a boost — there's no Level or Volume knob. What it does is add the harmonic saturation and slight sag of a cranked speaker to whatever signal passes through it, with unity or close-to-unity output. Single notes gain rich harmonics and a tube-like sponginess. Power chords get thicker and crunchier. Complex chords hold together without the lows turning to mud or the mids getting rearranged. Works in front of another drive to add texture without stacking gain, or at the end of a chain as final grit. True bypass via relay — audio requires power to pass. 9V DC, 10mA. No longer in production.
