Comodoro Booster

The Comodoro Booster lifts an instrument's signal by up to +20dB. With the gain control low it's a clean level boost, and turned up the output stage adds a light, gritty distortion, so it doubles as a low-gain drive. A brightness switch adds treble, meant for humbucker-equipped guitars but useful any time you want more top end. It runs on a 9V battery or a 9 to 18V center-negative adapter, with the higher voltage giving more headroom. Hand-assembled in A Coruña, Spain, it works as an always-on level lift or a way to push an amp into breakup.
