Everything We Don't Know About The Ocean Floor
Dual-LFO analog BBD chorus with stereo outputs for complex, evolving modulation. Baltimore-built.
Baltimore Sonic Research Institute (BSRI Audio) is known for evocatively named pedals that push creative boundaries. The company is based in Baltimore and also hosts the annual Baltimore Pedal Show. Everything We Don't Know About The Ocean Floor uses two low-frequency oscillators modulating a single analog bucket-brigade delay line. Dual-LFO modulation was common in vintage chorus gear when engineers wanted deeper, more complex modulation than a single cyclical sweep — with two oscillators running independently, you get less predictable movement and a greater sense of spatial depth. The dual outputs feature opposing wet signal polarity, enabling either true stereo operation or additive/subtractive mono mixing. Instead of a single cyclical chorus, the pedal produces evolving and even syncopated textures, described by users as capable of everything from subtle to weird. 9V DC, 50mA.
